Six local wrestlers punched their tickets to the Sectionals of the State Tournament next Friday at Loganville.

Austin Sheppard finished first at 130-weight class and Aaron Segars (140) finished fourth for Apalachee, which hosted the Traditional Area Tournament Friday and Saturday.

Four Winder-Barrow wrestlers finished in the top-4 at AHS. Tristan Yaptengco (103) finished fourth, Jake Bergan (135) finished third, Zach Gutierrez (160) finished second, and Will Whisenant (171) finished third.

The Mat Doggs will also have two alternates for sectionals, as Eric Shepherd (112) and Brandon Montgomery (140) both finished fifth.

Sectionals will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at Loganville High School.
