Winder-Barrow High School students are getting involved in the campaign to help Haiti. Students set a goal to raise and donate $2,000 to the American Red Cross for Haitian Relief, and so far have collected $1,500 toward that goal.

In addition to donations, students in arts and foreign language classes are working together to raise money. Spanish II student Alex Hawkins designed a T-shirt to sell, and French student Bryce Lacrimosa sold cakes for the cause.

Students in Amanda Partee-Manders’ art classes are selling art projects, with all proceeds going to the Red Cross.

"As you can see, W-BHS is living up to the ‘Double GG’ attitude that [we are] known for," Partee-Manders said.

The art and language students are not the only ones getting involved. The DECA club donated $100 dollars to the cause, and students who run the school coffee shop donated $50 of their profits.
